For Francesca Skoleti : Hi Thank you for your question. I don't use any presses when I create my hearts. They are all "hand" shaped and formed whilst in molten state over the flame using a graphite paddle.. I do use a teaspoon lol.. to help round and force the molten in an even roundness on the top of the heart.. You can round the glass in other ways.. I just find this way useful to reduce a few steps in the process. Kitchen appliances come in pretty handy.. : I also used a sharp knife to make the creases in my hearts.. They are all pretty unique, offering different sizes and shapes of their own to suit the creative detail on them... xx Lorraine Dowdle |

Lorraine, you are now my favorite artist. You have the most creative imagination of anyone in the wire and bead jewelry. I'm a new student and would love any tips you have on how to get started in the glass bead-making art. Much love to you! Gayle |

Lorraine, I am IN LOVE with all your creations! I started making handmade jewelry a couple of months ago and have done a lot of researches looking at different jewelry artists and their work, and so far you are on my top list for the best creator out there! Love your lampwork and your jewelry pieces. You inspire me with your work. Keep up the great work, and thanks for sharing your tutorials with the rest of us out here. Much Aloha... |
